ShareLuggage — Terms and Conditions

Welcome to ShareLuggage (“ShareLuggage,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a peer-to-peer platform that connects individuals who wish to send parcels (“Senders”) with travelers who have available luggage capacity (“Carriers”).

By accessing or using the ShareLuggage platform (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

ShareLuggage is currently in alpha (early access).

You acknowledge:

• The Service may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features
• Features may change or be removed at any time
• Reliability is not guaranteed

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

ShareLuggage is a technology platform only.

We are not a courier, shipping company, logistics provider, or party to any delivery agreement. We do not take possession of goods, nor do we control, supervise, or guarantee Users. All transactions occur directly between Users.

You must be at least 18 years old, have legal capacity to contract, and provide accurate information. We may suspend or terminate accounts at any time.

Users are solely responsible for compliance with all local, national, and international laws, including airline, airport, and customs regulations, proper declaration of goods, and payment of duties, taxes, and fees.

ShareLuggage is not responsible for seizures, fines, delays, or legal violations.

Senders request parcel delivery. Carriers transport parcels during trips they are already undertaking. All agreements are peer-to-peer.

7.1 Escrow. ShareLuggage may hold Sender funds in escrow until release conditions are met.

7.2 Release Conditions. Funds may be released when delivery is marked complete by the Sender, a defined delivery window has passed without dispute, or ShareLuggage determines completion based on available evidence.

7.3 Dispute Hold. Funds may be temporarily withheld if a dispute is raised or fraud is detected.

7.4 Service Fee. ShareLuggage charges a 15% fee on Carrier payouts. Fees may change at any time with notice.

7.5 Payment Processing. Payments may be processed via third parties such as Stripe. We are not liable for payment processor errors, currency conversion fees, or cross-border transaction issues.

ShareLuggage may offer identity verification. Verification is not a guarantee of safety or reliability.

ShareLuggage may require identity verification at any time, including:

• Before accessing certain features
• Before releasing escrowed funds
• During dispute resolution

Unverified users may have restricted access to certain platform features.

Users may not transport illegal drugs or controlled substances, weapons, firearms, explosives, hazardous materials, or any item restricted by airline or customs laws. Users are solely responsible for compliance.

ShareLuggage strongly discourages sending high-value items. Unless otherwise stated, the maximum recommended value per shipment is $500 USD. Users assume all risk for loss, theft, or damage.

Sender: Responsible until parcel is transferred to Carrier. Carrier: Responsible while in possession. Recipient: Responsible upon receipt.

ShareLuggage never takes custody and has no responsibility for handling, storage, or transport.

Delivery is considered complete when:

• The Carrier submits a photo of the parcel handoff
• The Carrier obtains a recipient signature confirming receipt

ShareLuggage may rely on the following to determine completion:

• Photo evidence
• Signature confirmation
• Messaging logs between Users
• Timestamps and location data

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:

• All information you provide is accurate and truthful
• You have the legal right to send or carry any parcels listed
• Parcel contents are lawful and comply with all applicable regulations
• Parcel contents are accurately described
• You will not engage in fraud, misrepresentation, or unlawful activity

You assume full responsibility for any breach of these representations.

You acknowledge that this is a peer-to-peer system with inherent risk. Users may misrepresent themselves or parcel contents. Delivery outcomes are not guaranteed.

ALL USE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

ShareLuggage provides no insurance coverage. Users must obtain their own insurance if desired.

Disputes are between Users. ShareLuggage may facilitate communication, review evidence, and make non-binding or binding determinations regarding escrow. We are not liable for dispute outcomes.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for fraud or abuse, reverse or withhold payments, and report illegal activity to authorities. Users are liable for chargebacks, fraudulent claims, and misrepresentation.

The following behaviors are prohibited:

• Circumventing the platform to avoid fees
• Moving transactions off-platform after connection has been made
• Fraud, spam, or unauthorized use of the Service

ShareLuggage reserves the right to cancel transactions, withhold funds, and suspend or terminate accounts in response to any prohibited behavior.

ShareLuggage may, at its sole discretion:

• Refuse service to any user
• Remove listings or transactions
• Cancel or restrict any activity on the platform

This applies in cases including but not limited to suspected fraud, legal risk, or violations of these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShareLuggage is not liable for loss, theft, or damage of goods, customs issues or delays, or indirect or consequential damages.

Total liability is capped at $100 USD.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShareLuggage from any claims arising from your use of the Service, any parcel you send or carry, or violations of law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts at any time for violations of these Terms, suspicious activity, or any reason at our discretion.

ShareLuggage is not responsible for events outside its reasonable control, including:

• Flight cancellations or delays
• Weather events or natural disasters
• Government actions or border restrictions
• Transportation disruptions

No guarantees or refunds are provided in such cases.

All disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration. Users waive the right to jury trial and class action participation.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
